Not just for dating a widower, but dating in general. For example, when in a serious, exclusive relationship, you should put each other first. Second to no one. Also, communication is a huge part to a successful relationship. I recommend this short read to all dating people. This is the book I wish would have been around when I was dating again a decade ago. This book covers all of the crap you may get from your widower partner Some men would rather talk to photos of a dead woman than move on and live again. I disagree with reviewers whose problem is that it wasn't written by a therapist. More relevant is the fact that he is a man and widowed, and went through the experience of dating, and includes stories from many woman, both positive and negative experiences. I also like books that cut to the chase and can be read quickly and easily.

I was prompted to buy this book after a heated debate with my late wife's sister about me starting to date. She swears that I am not ready for a relationship with a woman and maybe she is right, but I wanted to find out for myself. When searching for a book to help me decide I found this one and even though it was writen for women dating a widower, I wanted to know what I needed to do to prepare to start a relationship. If a reader is looking for a book that validates the idea that widowers are not first men but fragile souls in need of rescue or retraining as though they were wet behind the ears pups, this is not that book.
